Tilcara Webb hails from the Land of Enchantment.
Her work navigates the practice of elastic storytelling and plays with the ambiguities of social scripts and relational dynamics. She relishes the work of physical transformation, highlighting the contradictions found in performing sexuality, gender, and belonging. Her video work elicits collaborative, unpredictable, and organic acts of verbal and embodied desire while coaxing in mischief and humor by toying with certainty.
Tilcara holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
